Enjoy a stunning four course dinner for two and a bottle of sommelier selected wine with a glass of Pierre Paillard Champagne on arrival in Shane Kenny’s Seapoint Restaurant in the heart of Monkstown Village.
The bistro style menu offers informal fine dining, with imaginative and well executed seasonal dishes. As the winner of The Good Eating Guide Best Seafood Restaurant 2011 and given its location, it is hardly surprising that Seapoint is renowned for its seafood, which is perfectly complimented by original meat and vegetarian dishes.
Menus vary with the seasons, but can include dishes such as light lemon & crab risotto with celery & chili salad; potted confit of salmon & shrimp with citrus shaved fennel salad; and char-grilled 10oz Irish rib-eye with Seapoint fries. Hard to resist desserts include the signature Seapoint brownie ice burger with chocolate sauce, and a vanilla crème brûlée with valrhona chocolate ice cream. The cheese plate, which is served on a slate with the names of the cheeses, has a mix of wonderful Irish and French cheeses.
Seapoint is the ideal spot for an evening dinner after a relaxing walk on the pier, a romantic meal for two or to celebrate a special occasion. The perfect location, great menu and ambience have made Seapoint the talking point in town.
"Shane Kenny’s Seapoint Restaurant, with the superb Nick Clapham heading up the kitchen, two years ago literally revived the dining scene in Monkstown Village….They were right on the nose in both design and food with what today’s diner really wants – informal formal dining with well executed seasonal dishes." Lucinda O’Sullivan.
