Day to day Itinerary:
LYON
On arrival transfer to the port to board MS Rhone Princess. After comfortably settling into your cabin, you'll be introduced to the crew at a welcome cocktail. Dinner tonight will be followed by an evening of entertainment.
LYON - MACON
Today you get a chance to discover the city of Lyon.
Optional excursions offered:
Guided tour of Lyon where you'll discover its famous "traboules", types of passageways that are typical of the city or bike ride through the main monuments and districts of Lyon followed by a tasting of local products in the heart of the old town.
Return on board and spend the afternoon cruising to Mâcon. Enjoy dinner and an evening of dancing.
MACON - VIENNE
On arrival in Macon you will have the day to enjoy this beautiful city in the Burgandy region.
Optional excursions offered :Visit the Abbey ruins in Cluny or guided tour on foot of Mâcon, capital of the Beaujolais, followed by a tasting of local products.
We'll return on board and spend the afternoon cruising to Vienna. Enjoy an evening of entertainment. We'll reach Vienne later this evening.
VIENNE -ARLES
Numerous remains of Roman constructions are still visible in modern Vienne so a wonder around this tour is a delight.
Optional excursions offered: Guided tour of Vienne or explore Vienne on a Segway for an original tour of this charming "Gallo-Roman” city known for its art and history.
We'll return on board and spend the afternoon cruising. Enjoy dinner and an evening of entertainment.
ARLES, THE CAMARGUE
Arles, famed for inspiring the paintings of Van Gogh and once a provincial capital of ancient Rome, Arles is also known for many remains from that era, including Arles Amphitheatre.
Optional excursion offered: Visit of Arles and a local olive oil producer's. or discover the Camargue. We'll visit a "manade" (horse breeding farm) and learn about how a manadier works with the animals. OR maybe you'd like to try safari in jeeps through the Camargue for an original immersion in the wilderness.
We'll return on board for dinner and an evening of traditional Provençal entertainment.
ARLES - AVIGON - VIVIERS
We stop in two towns today.
Optional excursion for both offered: Guided tour of Avignon and the Papal Palace & guided tour of Viviers.
VIVIERS - TOURNON - LYON
This morning will be spent cruising.
Optional excursion offered: Guided tour of Tournon. We'll visit the imposing Castle-Museum of Tournon-sur-Rhône followed by a tasting of local wines* and regional delicacies.
We'll then return on board. Tonight's our gala dinner and evening. Our ship will cruise towards Lyon during the night.
LYON
Today we say goodbye to the Burgandy region of France as we transfer to the airport for the return flight to Dublin
MS Rhone Princess
Start your day joining us for a morning fitness class on the sun deck. After all this relax in one of its recliners or deck chairs, so that you can enjoy the best views of your cruise.
The MS Rhone Princess has a lounge tastefully decorated with panoramic views and is spanning the bow of the ship. Cocktails and games, dancing, and other forms of entertainment all happen here.
Located on the upper deck, the restaurant is where all meals are served during your cruise. It seats all guests at tables which vary in size with a panoramic view. The atmosphere is casual but elegant.
